Michael Jordan Donates $10 Million to UNC School of Social Work in Mother's Honor
Six-time NBA champion and former North Carolina Tar Heels star Michael Jordan has made a significant $10 million commitment to the University of North Carolina (UNC) School of Social Work. This donation is made in honor of his mother, Deloris P. Jordan, and represents the largest single gift in the school's history. The funds will be used to expand the reach and impact of the Global Social Development Innovations Center, which will be renamed the Deloris P. Jordan Global Social Development Innovations Center and the Jordan Institute for Families.
