The technology, which alerts police to gunfire, was previously removed due to privacy concerns. During a recent city hall meeting, residents expressed mixed opinions. Some, like Katherine Silvestre, oppose the technology due to its potential for false positives and neighborhood surveillance. Others, such as Joanna Jimenez, support its reinstallation, citing personal losses to gun violence. The council aims to gather public opinion and assess the technology's effectiveness during this trial period.
