St. Vincent de Paul Opens New Free Medical Clinic in Mesa for Uninsured Residents
St. Vincent de Paul has inaugurated a new medical clinic in Mesa, Arizona, providing free healthcare services and medication to uninsured and underinsured individuals. This initiative addresses the needs of over 759,000 Arizonans who lack adequate health coverage, according to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The clinic offers a wide range of medical services at no cost for office visits and medicine, though some external services may incur charges. Previously, patients from the East Valley had to travel long distances to St. Vincent de Paul's Phoenix clinic, a journey that was often costly and inconvenient. The new Mesa facility aims to provide accessible care closer to home, with a staff comprising a few full-time employees and numerous volunteers. It also serves as a training ground for medical students from Arizona State and Creighton universities.
