Heat Intensifies in Tucson as Storm Chances Persist
Southern Arizona, including Tucson, is experiencing a mix of heat and storm activity this week. Afternoon and evening thunderstorms are expected daily, with the most significant chances occurring south and east of Tucson. While central Pima County and Tucson may see less storm activity, any storms that do develop could bring heavy rain, localized flash flooding, and strong, potentially damaging wind gusts. Meanwhile, temperatures are set to rise significantly, with highs climbing 7 to 12 degrees above average later in the week as high pressure strengthens over the region.
