Maricopa County Identifies New Measles Exposure Sites Amid Rising Cases

A person with measles attended a concert at Chase Field and visited several locations in Chandler, potentially exposing others. The county has confirmed 25 measles cases in 2026, a significant increase from the historical average of one case per year over the past 30 years. Health officials emphasize the importance of vaccination, as measles is highly contagious but preventable with a two-dose vaccine. Symptoms to watch for include high fever, red watery eyes, cough, runny nose, and a distinctive rash.
