Tucson Gay Bar Shooting Leaves Two Dead, Suspect Had List of LGBTQ+ Venues
Two men were fatally shot outside Venture-N, a long-standing gay bar in Tucson, Arizona, early Monday morning. The victims were identified as Vincent Anthony Siqueiros, 42, and Cameron Davis Capara, 33. The suspected gunman, Ousman Ceesay, 44, also died shortly after at a hospital. Tucson police are investigating the incident as a hate crime, as Ceesay was found in possession of a note listing several LGBTQ-associated businesses. Tucson Mayor Regina Romero stated that investigators believe Ceesay intended to cause further harm at other locations. Police responded to reports of gunfire around 12:30 a.m., finding the three men with gunshot wounds. Initial evidence suggests the suspect confronted and then shot Siqueiros and Capara in the parking lot. Authorities have increased police presence around LGBTQ+ establishments in the area.
