Dry, Sunny Weather Returns to Arizona This Weekend
After a period of heavy rain and thunderstorms that impacted Arizona earlier this week, the state is set to experience a shift in weather conditions. According to azfamily.com, showers and thunderstorms increased across the Valley on Wednesday, with some higher-terrain areas receiving 1 to 2 inches of rain and Valley totals ranging from half an inch to an inch. A Flood Watch was in effect for parts of La Paz and Yuma counties, where training storms repeatedly hit the same locations. The National Weather Service placed the Valley, much of Gila County, and Tucson in a moderate-risk area for excessive rainfall. However, the rain is expected to taper off overnight, and dry, sunny weather is forecasted to return over the weekend. This change in weather will bring relief to residents after days of wet conditions. (Source time: Thu, 17 Sep 2026 13:29:28 GMT)
