Randolph County Man Faces Charges for Impersonating FBI Agent with Outlandish Claims
Clinton Nelan, a 34-year-old resident of Montrose, West Virginia, has been charged with impersonating a law enforcement officer following a trespassing incident at Rainbow Estates. According to the West Virginia State Police, Nelan claimed to have worked undercover for the FBI since 2016 and alleged that he was paid '900 trillion dollars a week' by the agency. Nelan's claims included being sworn in through 'National TV,' although he could not specify which division of the FBI he belonged to. He is currently held in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail with a bond set at $3,000 cash-only.
