Phoenix Faces Extreme Heat Warning with Near-Record Temperatures Expected
Phoenix is experiencing an Extreme Heat Warning as temperatures are forecasted to reach near-record highs this week. The National Weather Service has issued the warning through Wednesday evening, with expectations that it may be extended. High pressure is causing morning lows in the 90s and afternoon highs to reach between 110 and 116 degrees. These temperatures are significantly above normal for this time of year. Storm chances remain low, with the best possibility for storms in the Valley being Tuesday morning, with a 10 to 20 percent chance.
