Heavy rain and thunderstorms have caused significant disruptions across the Phoenix area, including flooding, power outages, and flight delays. From 3 AM to 9 AM MST, Maricopa County received 0.50 to 2 inches of rain, leading to overflowing washes and channels such as Skunk Creek and Indian Bend Wash. Emergency services conducted multiple water rescues, including incidents in New River and Tonopah. Roads and highways, including SR 238 and North Valley Parkway, have been closed due to flooding. Power outages affected over 400 customers in Buckeye and 100 in Scottsdale, though most services have been restored.
