Arizona Couple Charged with Child Abuse After Allegedly Leading Kids on Walk in Extreme Heat
An Arizona couple, Ryan and May Mullin, have been charged with child abuse after allegedly leading their two young children on a long walk in 108-degree heat. The incident occurred in Glendale after the family attended an Arizona Cardinals practice. Witnesses reported seeing the couple walking with their children, aged 2 and 4, for about three hours. A concerned driver intervened after observing Ryan Mullin fall and cross a road without his family. The driver offered the family a ride, but Ryan reportedly reacted aggressively, injuring himself in the process. Police noted signs of intoxication in both parents, including slurred speech and bloodshot eyes. The couple was arrested after Ryan refused to comply with police commands and was seen holding his child's wrist tightly.
