Larry Ellison Acquires Eight Homes in Florida Gated Community for Staff Housing
Oracle co-founder and billionaire Larry Ellison quietly purchased eight homes in the Palm Meadows Estates, a gated community in Boynton Beach, Florida, for nearly $10 million. These acquisitions, made through an LLC between May and June 2023, were not for Ellison himself but to house his family's staff, including tutors for his five children. This buying spree occurred in a 288-home enclave approximately 30 minutes from Ellison's $173 million oceanfront compound in Manalapan. The homes are described as moderately sized suburban properties with well-maintained lawns, some featuring swimming pools. Local real estate agent Kimmie Cruz facilitated some of these transactions, initially unaware of the buyer's identity until Ellison personally toured the properties. The sellers of these homes, many of which were not initially on the market, made substantial profits, with one couple selling their home for $1.2 million after purchasing it for $567,000 in 2019.
