Bodycam Footage Shows Near-Miss Incident During El Paso Traffic Stop
The El Paso Police Department has released body camera footage capturing a close call during a traffic stop, where an officer narrowly avoided being hit by a vehicle. The incident occurred on July 25, when the officer was conducting a routine traffic stop. As the officer approached the driver's side window, another vehicle collided with the stopped car, narrowly missing the officer. Both the officer and the driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The department emphasized the dangers of traffic stops and urged drivers to move over or slow down when they see emergency lights.
