ATLAS NEXUS Operation Dismantles Transnational Criminal Networks Across 35 Countries
The ATLAS NEXUS operation, a large-scale international initiative, has successfully identified and dismantled numerous transnational criminal networks. This coordinated effort involved law enforcement, customs, and judicial authorities from 35 countries across Latin America, the Caribbean, Europe, and other regions, including the United States. It is described as the largest joint operation against organized crime to date between these regions. The operation focused on disrupting polycriminal networks, targeting high-value individuals, seizing criminal assets, and initiating further investigations across five priority markets: drug trafficking, human trafficking, document fraud, firearms trafficking, and environmental crime.
