Hot and Stormy Weather Expected in South Florida Through Weekend
South Florida, including the Palm Beaches and Treasure Coast, is experiencing a hot, humid, and stormy weather pattern. According to FOX29, the east-to-southeast flow is pushing Atlantic moisture inland, creating favorable conditions for thunderstorms. High temperatures are forecasted to range between 90–93°F (32–34°C), with heat indexes reaching 100–105°F (38–41°C) in hotter areas. A Tropical Upper-Tropospheric Trough (TUTT) is contributing to the storm activity, acting as an upper-level ingredient for thunderstorms. While the storms are expected to be hit-or-miss, locally heavy rain, frequent lightning, and gusty winds are possible near stronger thunderstorms.
