South Florida is experiencing extreme heat, with feels-like temperatures expected to reach up to 110°F (43°C) today. The National Weather Service (NWS) in Miami has issued a heat advisory for Miami-Dade and Broward counties, effective from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on August 21. High temperatures in Miami are forecasted to reach near 90°F (32°C) with heat index values as high as 106°F (41°C). Fort Lauderdale is expected to see highs near 93°F (34°C) with similar heat index values, while West Palm Beach will experience highs near 89°F (32°C) and heat indices up to 103°F (39°C). The advisory is expected to remain in effect through the weekend, with similar conditions forecasted for Saturday and Sunday.
