Statewide Hurricane Preparedness Tour Visits Palm Beach County
Chief Financial Officer and State Fire Marshal Blaise Ingoglia visited Palm Beach County as part of his statewide hurricane preparedness tour. The visit emphasized the importance of readiness during Florida's peak hurricane season, which spans August to October. Since May, the Department of Financial Services Division of Consumer Services has provided safety tips and resources to over 22,000 Floridians. Ingoglia highlighted the need for proactive measures, such as assembling emergency kits and safeguarding important documents, to mitigate risks during hurricanes. Local officials, including Palm Beach Gardens Deputy Fire Chief James Ippolito and Emergency Management Director David Reyes, echoed the importance of community preparedness and collaboration with first responders.
