Delaware County Launches Mobile Vaccine Clinic to Prevent Measles Outbreak
Delaware County has initiated a mobile vaccine clinic, known as Wellness on Wheels, to provide catch-up vaccines to families in anticipation of a potential measles outbreak. The clinic, which recently began operations at Observatory Park in Upper Darby, aims to vaccinate children and adults who may have missed their measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) vaccinations. This proactive measure comes as Pennsylvania reports 142 measles cases in 2026, the highest in over three decades, with concentrations in Lancaster and Lebanon counties. The mobile clinic is part of a broader back-to-school campaign offering vaccines, physicals, and STI testing, targeting families without regular pediatric care or those who have lost vaccination records.
