Suspect in August Washington Amber Alert, Raul Martinez Guevara, Arrested in Vancouver on Multiple Charges
Raul Martinez Guevara, 37, who was wanted in connection with a Washington state Amber Alert issued in August, has been arrested in Vancouver. Police took Martinez Guevara into custody on September 1. The arrest was carried out by the Vancouver Police Department’s Crime Reduction Unit and the Clark County Sheriff’s Office Tactical Detective Unit. He faces multiple charges, including second-degree robbery, second-degree kidnapping, third-degree assault of a child, first-degree custodial interference, fourth-degree assault, and violation of a protection order. Additionally, Martinez Guevara had prior warrants for second-degree burglary and another violation of a protection order. The infant involved in the Amber Alert was safely returned to its mother on August 18, after a third party reported that Guevara had turned over the child.
