Governor DeSantis Accelerates Clyde Morris Boulevard Project and Partners with Embry-Riddle for Advanced Air Mobility Research
Governor Ron DeSantis announced the accelerated start of construction for the $56 million Clyde Morris Boulevard Improvement Project in Daytona Beach, Florida, two years ahead of schedule. This project aims to significantly enhance safety and efficiency on State Road 483, a primary thoroughfare for Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University's Daytona Beach Campus. Additionally, Governor DeSantis highlighted a new partnership between Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). This collaboration will focus on advancing research in emerging transportation technologies, specifically in Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) and Autonomous Vehicles. FDOT Secretary Jared W. Perdue emphasized that accelerating this project will bring essential safety improvements to a crucial corridor for Volusia County, Daytona Beach, and Embry-Riddle University.
