Three Individuals, Including a Child, Found Deceased from Gunshots in Burning Maywood Home
A married couple and their young child were discovered dead with apparent gunshot wounds in a burning home in Maywood, California, early Saturday morning. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reported that deputies and firefighters responded to a structure fire on the 5000 block of East 61st Street at approximately 2:30 a.m. After extinguishing the blaze, law enforcement found the bodies of a man and woman, both in their late 40s, and a boy under 10 years old in a bedroom. A firearm was recovered at the scene. While the exact cause of death and fire origin are under investigation, authorities have indicated that the incident appears to be domestic violence-related and poses no ongoing threat to the community. The identities of the deceased have not been released, but the Sheriff's Department confirmed the adults were married and the boy was their biological child.
