North Texas Faces Heat Advisory as Temperatures Soar
North Texas is experiencing a significant heat wave, with temperatures expected to reach 100 degrees by the afternoon. The heat index, which accounts for humidity, will make it feel between 100 to 110 degrees. A Heat Advisory is in effect until 8 p.m. for most of the region due to these dangerously high temperatures. The weather pattern is dominated by an upper-level ridge, which is expected to maintain these conditions throughout the weekend and into the following week. Residents are advised to take precautions to stay cool and hydrated.
