Gurugram Traffic Police Impounds Motorcycle with 113 Pending Challans and Significant Fines
Gurugram Traffic Police recently intercepted a motorcycle rider at MDI Chowk who was operating the vehicle without a helmet and lacked necessary documents. Upon further investigation, authorities discovered that the rider had accumulated 113 pending traffic challans (fines) against the motorcycle, totaling approximately ₹10.68 lakh (10,68,500 INR). The violations included riding without a helmet, not possessing a valid Pollution Under Control (PUC) certificate, and driving without insurance, among other traffic rule infractions. The motorcycle was immediately impounded by the police. This incident occurred during a special checking drive conducted by the Gurugram Traffic Police aimed at enforcing traffic regulations and addressing repeat offenders. Zonal Officer ASI Praveen Kumar and his team were conducting routine vehicle checks when they stopped the rider. The police emphasized the importance of adhering to road safety rules and clearing outstanding dues.
