Southern New Mexico is experiencing small electrical outages due to ongoing storms that have also caused flooding and led to evacuations in Doña Ana County. El Paso Electric reported approximately 34 customers in Las Cruces were without power as of 8 p.m. on Tuesday. Outages were also noted near Rincon and Arrey, though these affected a smaller number of customers. El Paso itself has been significantly impacted, with power disruptions reported in Santa Teresa, Fort Bliss, and Butterfield. Xcel Energy indicated outages only in Roswell, while PNM reported no outages for Las Cruces or its surrounding communities as of 8:10 p.m. New Mexico was placed under a statewide flood watch on Tuesday, indicating the widespread nature of the severe weather.
