Strong Storms Leave Thousands Without Power Across Kentucky
Severe storms swept through Kentucky overnight, leaving thousands of residents without power. According to LG&E and KU, approximately 50,000 customers were initially affected, with the majority of outages concentrated in Lexington and Louisville. As of Monday morning, fewer than 9,000 customers remain without power, with utility crews working diligently to restore service. Counties most impacted include Fayette, Breathitt, Daviess, Jefferson, and Perry. LG&E and KU have brought in additional resources from other areas to expedite repairs.
