Man Arrested for Attempted Abduction of Child at Tulsa Walmart
A man identified as Marshall Dixon, 50, was arrested in Tulsa, Oklahoma, following an attempted abduction of a 1-year-old child at a Walmart store. The incident occurred on Tuesday evening near 68th and Memorial. According to Tulsa Police, a woman was shopping with her two children when Dixon approached her and engaged in a brief conversation about her kids. Subsequently, Dixon allegedly took the 1-year-old from the woman's shopping cart, placed the child in his own cart, and began to walk away. The mother confronted Dixon and retrieved her child, then sought refuge with her children in the store's bathroom to call for help. Walmart staff intervened, removing Dixon from the store and contacting 911. Officers located Dixon at a nearby bus stop, where he matched the suspect's description. When questioned about the incident, Dixon reportedly stated, 'Yeah, I did that.' He was subsequently arrested and booked into the Tulsa County Jail on a kidnapping charge.
