The decision was made with an 8-5 vote, highlighting a significant division within the court. The law, which has been criticized for its potential to stifle free expression, particularly targets drag performances. Despite the ruling, drag performances are not banned in Florida, and the injunction's removal does not alter the current operations of businesses and performers who have been navigating the law's implications.
