Flood Advisory Issued for Sarasota and Manatee Due to Heavy Rainfall
The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Advisory for Sarasota and Manatee counties in Florida due to heavy rainfall. The advisory, effective from 8:30 AM, warns of minor flooding in roadways and low-lying areas with poor drainage. Between 2 to 4 inches of rain have already fallen, and more is expected throughout the day. Residents are advised to exercise caution while driving, as even a small amount of standing water can cause vehicles to hydroplane. The advisory highlights the potential for continued rainfall to shift inland as the day progresses.
