Bali Legal Team Questions External Involvement in Chicken Theft Death Case
In Bali, a legal team representing the Banjar Juwuk Legi community in Baturiti, Tabanan, is raising concerns about the involvement of outsiders in the death of a chicken thief. The thief, identified as KD, was allegedly beaten by locals and later died. Five residents of Juwuk Legi have been named as suspects in the incident. However, the legal team, including advocates Nyoman Agung Sariawan and Gede Sumarjaya, claims that individuals from outside the community were also involved in the violence. They have requested a thorough investigation into the events leading up to KD's death, including the role of these outsiders. The legal team has also filed for a change in detention status for the Juwuk Legi residents, citing their family responsibilities.
