Florida's Higher Education System Celebrates Decade of Excellence
The State University System of Florida is celebrating a decade of being ranked number one in higher education by U.S. News & World Report. To mark this achievement, the system is launching the 'Florida 10 for 10' scholarship program, which will award up to $1,000 to 10 full-time undergraduates at each participating university. Florida has maintained its top position since the rankings began in 2017, attributed to factors such as educational attainment, graduation rates, affordability, and low student debt. The state boasts the lowest in-state tuition in the country and a high percentage of students graduating without federal loans. The Board of Governors emphasizes student achievement and the development of future leaders as key priorities.
