Creighton University Fraternity Raises $15K for Special Olympics and Women's Heart Health
Asher, a student at Creighton University, along with his fraternity, Sig Ep, organized the 'Run with Heart 5K' event. The initiative successfully raised $15,000, which will be donated to the Special Olympics of Nebraska and Women's Heart Health. The event involved comprehensive planning and execution by Asher and his team, including setting up a website, recruiting sponsors, securing vendors, and organizing a walk that included Special Olympic Athletes. The effort was highlighted by Sasha Shillcutt MD MS FASE, Asher's mother, who expressed immense pride in his leadership and service-oriented actions, noting that this achievement surpassed even his two state championship wins in terms of personal pride.
