Weehawken Police Department Welcomes New Female Officer Ashley Chirino
The Weehawken Police Department has sworn in a new female police officer, SLEO II Ashley Chirino. The oath of office was administered on August 25th, with Weehawken Mayor Richard Turner, the Township Council, and the Police Department in attendance. Officer Chirino completed 23 weeks of training at the Hudson County Public Safety Training Center before her graduation and subsequent swearing-in. This addition marks a new chapter for the department as it expands its ranks.
