Oklahoma City Fire Department Battles Structure Fire Near NW 10th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue
Oklahoma City fire crews responded to a significant house fire near NW 10th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue on Wednesday evening. Firefighters were dispatched just before 5 p.m. after a passerby reported the blaze. Upon arrival, crews observed the home fully engulfed in flames. Due to the extreme heat conditions, Battalion Chief Andrew McCann stated that additional equipment, including two extra engines and an additional ladder truck, was requested to assist with the fire attack. Firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze, which resulted in the home being a total loss. A nearby residence sustained minor damage from the flames. Authorities believe the affected home was vacant at the time of the incident, and no injuries have been reported. Investigators are currently working to determine the cause of the fire.
