Fire Breaks Out Overnight at Condemned Home in St. Ann, Squatters Suspected as Cause
Firefighters responded to a fire at a condemned home located in the 4300 block of St. Regina Lane in St. Ann just before midnight. The call came in at 11:55 p.m., and upon arrival, crews discovered fire in the back bedroom of the residence. The bedroom sustained the most significant damage, while the rest of the home suffered smoke damage. No injuries were reported in the incident. Authorities confirmed that the home had been condemned, meaning no one was authorized to be inside. Police indicated that vagrants were observed in the building last week, leading investigators to suspect squatters as a possible cause for the fire. However, firefighters have stated that an official cause has not yet been determined.
