Rochester Air Show Prepares for Safe Weekend Amid Large Crowds
The Rochester Air Show is set to open this weekend, with extensive preparations underway to ensure safety for both performers and spectators. The event will feature the Thunderbirds and over a dozen other planes. The Rochester Airport Fire Department, along with mutual aid partners, will have more than 50 personnel on site to manage safety and emergency response. Air traffic control and the air boss will coordinate flight schedules, while crews will monitor weather conditions closely due to limited shelter for spectators.
