California State Fair Concludes Final Summer Run with Over 650,000 Visitors
The 2026 California State Fair concluded its final summer run, drawing over 650,000 attendees. The fair, traditionally held in the summer, will shift to a fall schedule next year, running from September 17 to October 3. This change aims to avoid the extreme summer heat in Sacramento, which affected attendance during the final weekend of this year's event. The fair has been a longstanding tradition since its inception in October 1854. Cal Expo and State Fair CEO Tom Martinez expressed excitement about returning the fair to its historical roots.
