High Desert Community Foundation to Cease Operations by June 2027, Impacting Local Philanthropy
The High Desert Community Foundation (HDCF), a key philanthropic organization in the Victor Valley and surrounding High Desert areas, has announced its decision to wind down operations by June 2027. This decision follows decades of supporting various community initiatives through philanthropy and charitable giving. The Foundation's Board of Directors has approved a planned transition, which includes ceasing the acceptance and administration of new or existing fiscal sponsorship projects by December 31, 2026. The Foundation has been instrumental in connecting individuals, families, businesses, and organizations with charitable causes, supporting initiatives in education, youth development, public safety, healthcare access, arts and culture, and more. The Board emphasized that the decision was made after careful consideration to responsibly conclude the Foundation's affairs while honoring its commitments to donors and partners.
