Seattle Man Shot Three Times in Belltown, Family Seeks Public Assistance
A 21-year-old man, Matthew Lanske, is recovering after being shot three times during a confrontation in Seattle's Belltown neighborhood. The incident occurred in the early morning hours of a Sunday, where Lanske was among four people shot, one fatally. According to his family, Lanske and his friends had just finished dinner when they encountered a street takeover. A man and two women allegedly attempted to rob one of Lanske's friends at gunpoint. Lanske reportedly intervened, attempting to disarm the assailant, and was shot twice in the stomach and once in the pelvis, which shattered his pelvis and struck a major artery. Despite life-threatening injuries, Lanske managed to walk two blocks before texting 911 and his girlfriend. He was subsequently found by police and transported to Harborview Medical Center, where he remained on life support for two days. His family is appealing to the public for any witnesses, video, or information that could help identify the shooter and bring them to justice.
