Gorham Considers Two New Condominium Developments to Address Housing Needs
Gorham, Maine, is reviewing proposals for two new condominium developments that would add 52 housing units to the area. The Southridge Condominium Association plans to build 22 two-bedroom units priced between $370,000 and $430,000. Another development, Thistle Petite Condominiums, proposes 30 units for residents over 55. These projects aim to provide more affordable housing options in Gorham's designated growth district. However, concerns have been raised by residents about the developments' impact on local traffic, privacy, and community character. The planning board is considering these factors before granting approval.
