Ron Howard Supports Camp Josh Veterans' Appreciation Event in Ontonagon, Michigan
Ron Howard, a veteran, has been a consistent visitor and supporter of Camp Josh in Ontonagon County, Michigan, which recently hosted its annual veterans' appreciation event. The 40-acre camp, located outside Ontonagon, provides camping and educational experiences for veterans and individuals with disabilities or special needs. Howard attended the event, which offers veterans a meal and a chance to socialize, noting that he has participated every year since its inception. Camp Josh Board President Eugene Lewis emphasized the therapeutic value of these gatherings, allowing veterans to connect with peers who understand their experiences and traumas. The camp has seen a significant increase in visitors, with nearly 500 campers over the past year, up from approximately 200 in previous years, due to increased participation from groups across the Upper Peninsula.
