Suspect in TGI Fridays Parking Lot Shooting Released Pending Warrant Approval in Southfield
A suspect arrested in connection with a fatal shooting in the parking lot of a TGI Fridays in Southfield, Michigan, has been released pending warrant approval from the prosecutor's office. The incident, which occurred late Friday night, resulted in the death of a 58-year-old Inkster woman and injuries to two bystanders. Police identified a 35-year-old Southfield man as the shooter. According to investigators, the deceased woman and the man in custody were both valid concealed pistol license (CPL) holders and exchanged gunfire during a verbal altercation. The two other victims, a 54-year-old Detroit man and a 42-year-old woman from Georgia, were not involved in the dispute.
