F-16 Fighter Jet Crashes in Northern Michigan, Pilot Stable
An F-16 fighter jet crashed in northern Michigan on Thursday afternoon. The incident occurred in the Green Lake Township area, near County Road 633 and Blair Townhall Road, a few miles east of Interlochen State Park. Authorities issued an alert shortly after 2:00 PM following the crash, advising residents to remain indoors and keep windows and ventilation openings closed. The Michigan Department of Military and Veterans Affairs confirmed that the downed F-16 belonged to the 149th Fighter Wing from Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in Texas.
