Massive Search Underway for Missing 74-Year-Old Man on Lake St. Clair After Falling from Boat
A large-scale water rescue operation is currently underway on Lake St. Clair in Grosse Pointe Shores, Michigan, as multiple law enforcement and rescue agencies search for a 74-year-old man who reportedly fell overboard from a boat. The incident occurred Saturday evening, with the emergency call being reported around 7 p.m. Authorities have focused their search efforts on the area between the Grosse Pointe Yacht Club and Grosse Pointe Farms Pier Park. A woman who was on the vessel called 911 after she could no longer locate the man in the water. The vessel involved has been described as a large white boat flying a Canadian flag. Multiple rescue boats have been deployed, and a helicopter is assisting in the aerial search. As of late Saturday night, the search remains active, and no additional information regarding the man's condition or whereabouts has been released.
