Families Raise Concerns Over Unprepared Apartments at Haven on Geddes in Ann Arbor
More families are reporting significant issues with move-in conditions and communication at Haven on Geddes, an off-campus student apartment complex in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Many families arrived last week to find their apartments were not ready for occupancy. For instance, Jessica Schoeben stated her daughter's four-bedroom apartment, leased for August 17, was delayed and ultimately had only three bedrooms, a change not communicated in advance. These concerns echo previous complaints from University of Michigan sophomores regarding unexplained delays, poor communication from property management, and temporary accommodations that did not align with their leases. The City of Ann Arbor confirmed that 35 of the 68 units at Haven on Geddes were undergoing renovations and lacked the necessary Certificate of Occupancy.
