US Army Opens Test Ranges to Small Companies for Faster Weapon Deployment
The U.S. Army has announced a new initiative to open its test ranges to private companies developing missiles, drones, and other weapons. Army Secretary Dan Driscoll stated that this effort will significantly reduce the time it takes for military contractors to test their products, cutting down the typical 12 to 18 months of red tape. The Army's decision is also influenced by the need to replenish the U.S. military's stockpiles of advanced interceptors, which have been depleted due to ongoing conflicts.
