Michigan Fall Foliage Peaks Across Elevations
Michigan's fall foliage season is reaching its peak across various elevations, with high ridges and passes at approximately 1,980 feet already at peak as of September 27, 2026. Mid-elevation areas around 1,000 feet are also peaking, while valleys and lowlands at 600 feet are approaching their peak, expected by October 2. The timing of peak foliage varies by elevation, with higher areas typically peaking earlier than lower regions. Popular locations for viewing include Brockway Mountain Drive, Lake of the Clouds Overlook, and Potawatomi Falls, each offering unique scenic experiences.
