Since assuming office in 2021, Treasurer Garrity has overseen the return of more than $1.2 billion in unclaimed property, with a record $334 million returned last year. Senator Argall noted that his office has now facilitated the return of over $500,000 in unclaimed property to residents. Unclaimed property encompasses various assets, including dormant bank accounts, uncashed checks, forgotten stocks, and physical assets like collectible coins, jewelry, and savings bonds often found in safe deposit boxes.

Additionally, $200,000 has been allocated for the expansion of heritage tourism sites with interactive digital kiosks, marking the second phase of LSA funding for this initiative.
