Oma's Pride Recalls Nearly 3,900 Pounds of Dog Food Due to Salmonella Contamination
Oma's Pride has issued a recall for 3,834 pounds of its Woof Complete Canine Chicken Recipe, a frozen raw dog food product, after salmonella contamination was detected. The recall specifically targets 639 six-pound bags of the product. Three dogs have reportedly fallen ill, though no human illnesses have been reported in connection with this recall. The contaminated food was distributed to stores and wholesalers across 11 states, including Virginia, and was also sold directly to customers through online orders. Pet owners are advised to immediately stop feeding the recalled food to their pets and dispose of it securely to prevent access by children, pets, and wildlife. Additionally, all surfaces and utensils that came into contact with the food should be thoroughly washed and sanitized.
