Florida Police Investigate Theft of Disabled Dog's Specialized Wheelchair from Animal Rescue
The St. Cloud Police Department in Florida is investigating the theft of a specialized wheelchair belonging to a disabled senior dog named Baby. The wheelchair was stolen from the front porch of the Pittie Party of Central Florida, an animal rescue organization. Baby, a hospice resident at the rescue, relies entirely on the wheelchair for mobility, as she cannot walk without it. The Pittie Party of Central Florida announced the theft on Facebook, emphasizing the critical need for the chair for Baby to perform basic functions like going to the bathroom. The rescue also noted the high cost of such specialized equipment, estimating it to be around $800, including shipping. Police have shared an image of the wheelchair and are actively seeking tips from the public to help locate it and return it to Baby.
