Catholic Charities, Diocese of Trenton, hosted its 37th annual Guardian Angel Dinner, bringing together approximately 150 attendees, including Bishop David M. O’Connell, C.M. The event, held at the Boathouse at Mercer Lake, successfully raised $130,000 to support the organization's various programs. Executive Director Marlene Laó-Collins, who is set to retire after 15 years of service, was honored by Bishop O’Connell for her significant contributions. The dinner emphasized the impact of the nonprofit's work by focusing on the clients it serves, including the presentation of a Client Achievement Award to an honoree whose story highlighted resilience and personal growth, though details remained confidential to protect privacy.
